Massage and Stretch Therapies

Real and lasting performance gains can be achieved through the hands of an experienced therapist, but it’s not a one size fits all approach at Peak Performance Therapies. Our clients receive the advice and service they need to address their physical concerns and achieve their performance goals.

PPT offers three massage and stretch therapies: therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, and fascial stretch therapy.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is beneficial for a range of conditions and circumstances, regardless of whether you’re a professional athlete, weekend warrior, or just feeling the strain from long hours in the unnatural positions we often find ourselves in at work.

This type of massage helps to release tense muscles, relieve pain and return flexibility by increasing the flow of fluids to your muscles. It promotes muscle health and provides a greater sense of well-being, helping you to tackle everyday challenges in comfort while also playing an important role in preventing pain and injury.

Deep Tissue Massage

From the skin to the bone, most areas of our bodies contain several layers of muscles. Deep tissue massage reaches the deeper layers of muscle and is most commonly used to treat strains and injuries, but can also be very beneficial for people who sit for long periods of time.

Deep tissue massage breaks down knots and relieves pressure points throughout the body. It can also successfully break down scar tissue, aid healing through improved fluid flow, and restore or improve flexibility.

Fascial Stretch Therapy

A protective fascia surrounds many parts of the human body, and it plays an important role in providing a moveable and supportive wrapping for nerves and blood vessels as they pass in between muscles. The fascial tissue itself is innervated with sensory nerves, so an increase in pressure or friction around the fascia is often accompanied by pain.

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is fast becoming the gold standard for increasing flexibility, enhancing range of motion and improving athletic performance. By gently massaging along the fascial line, FST is a completely pain free therapy which reduces sensory nerve activity and allows joints to move more freely, and the results are outstanding.
